The Episode ES-XTR-8-IC is an Extreme Environment 8" in-ceiling speaker (sold each), built to deliver protection from every angle in tough locations such as covered patios and porches, pool houses, bathrooms, coastal homes and commercial areas exposed to moisture.

The speaker uses a 2-way design with a polypropylene woofer and titanium dome tweeter, housed in an IP67 waterproof enclosure. Gasket protection maintains rear-cavity integrity, and a rust-free aluminum grille clips in securely. Oversized high-grip dogs with rubber screw covers hold the speaker firmly in the ceiling, and it uses the same cutout and brackets as other Episode speakers, simplifying installation and upgrades. It has 8 ohm impedance, 90dB sensitivity and response up to 20kHz, and it is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
