It uses the wall cavity as its back box, or you can pair it with optional retrofit and pre-construction enclosures, adding deep bass to a room without a floor-standing cabinet.

The low-profile 8" driver offers more than 1/2" of excursion and a ribbed surround for controlled, punchy bass, with a frequency response from 30Hz to 300Hz. At 8 ohms and 85dB sensitivity it is driven by an external amplifier. Hassle-free wiring and a low-profile, thin-bezel white steel micro-perf mesh grille keep the install clean and discreet. It is backed by a lifetime limited warranty.

Key features

Single 8" polypropylene free-air driver: deep bass from a slim in-wall install.

Uses the wall cavity as its back box: or optional retrofit and pre-construction enclosures.

Low-profile driver: more than 1/2" of excursion.

Ribbed surround: controlled cone movement.

Hassle-free wiring: gold-plated spring terminals on the rear, as shown in the photos.

Discreet in-wall look: low-profile, thin-bezel steel micro-perf mesh grille in white.

Compatibility: listed as Control4 compatible.

Lifetime limited warranty

Specifications

Brand: Episode

Model: ESS-SUB-SNGL-8

Series: Signature Series

Product type: Passive free-air subwoofer (in-wall/in-ceiling)

Driver size: 8"

Frequency response: 30Hz – 300Hz

Impedance: 8 ohm

Sensitivity: 85dB

Grille: Steel micro-perf mesh, white, low-profile thin bezel

Dimensions: 11" x 11" x 11"

Weight: 6.5 lb

Warranty: Lifetime limited

UPC: 842822041164

Ideal for

Home theaters needing hidden bass

Living rooms and media rooms with in-ceiling speakers

Whole-home audio zones

Note: this is a passive subwoofer and requires an external amplifier.

https://lerweensupply.com/products/episode-ess-sub-sngl-8-signature-series-8-in-wall-free-air-passive-subwoofer
